PAEDIATRIC CLINIC

There are 3 Paediatric Clinic days per month (children divided up into 3 age groups).  Younger children have access to play therapy during the clinics. Currently, PASADA is looking after over 600 HIV+ children and over 400 of these are on ART.

While the health of children on ART rapidly improves, this improvement does give rise to challenges, particularly around issues of disclosure and positive prevention. Training workshops are offered to these children on reproductive health,  HIV+ status disclosure and living positively with the virus. Many of them also access support in their schooling, vocational training and psychosocial support through PASADA’s OVC services.
